Sworn and legalized translation
Sworn translation
Sworn translation can only be performed by sworn translators who are officially entered by the court of first instance. A sworn translator puts his signature and name stamp on the translation, which indicates that the translation is truthful and official by nature.
Legalized translation
In addition to the signature and name stamp by the translator, it is often obligatory to have your translation legalised by court. A legalised translation is a sworn translation legalised by the court of first instance by a stamp and signature of that court. To put it properly, the court will compare the translator's signature to the one registered in the translation register. This verification procedure may last four to five days.
