Why text revision is so important

You may have written a catalogue, pamphlet, leaflet, mailing, website or book very enthusiastically and are now anxiously awaiting for a response from your clients and prospects. To your utter dismay, there is hardly any response to what you have written. Nine out of ten chances, the reader threw your information away. Text revision or translation?

We often do not take this into consideration, but revising bad translations often takes more time than translating the source text. Experience has learned that companies chose to translate as much as possible themselves to hold down the costs. We do not want to criticize your efforts, but in many cases this is not such a good idea, unless you have staff members at your disposal with thorough language knowledge. Dependent on the content on the one hand and your writing style on the other, one revision takes more time than the other. That is why Translation Office Evina charges an hourly rate of 45 euros for text revision in Dutch, French and English.
